October 2005 - Annoying Habits & Behaviour

Question:

My husband snores and we have tried everything to stop him and now we are at the stage of thinking that perhaps he should have an operation to stop his snoring and keep my sanity. He is perfectly healthy and a wonderful husband otherwise. Sometimes I feel like killing him just to stop the noise as I just get so tired from not sleeping. What can we do?

Answer:

If you cannot change the other person – change yourself! You said that you have tried everything but have you tried hypnosis…for yourself. Easy enough to use hypnosis to make you feel more relaxed about your husbands snoring and even that his snoring could make you feel safe, secure and comfortable. Just imagine it might be, like having a bed time story read to you as a child, remember how you felt snuggled in bed and generally you were able to sleep so easily afterwards? You could even feel more in love with your husband each morning much easier than going to prison for murder….besides you may end up with a worse cell mate.

Question:

I have been biting my nails since childhood sometimes I bite them so much that the skin bleeds. I am so embarrassed particularly as I am a director in a company and have to give presentations to potential clients, which is hard to do with my hands stuck firmly in my pockets. What can I do?

Answer:

Get your finger out and start dialling. Thought Field Therapy (TFT) can help you kick the habit, control any anxiety that you may suffer from and the rest is up to you… well your nails to start growing again. You could be proud to walk into any manicurist and in presentations you will soon be waving your manicured hands around with the best of them.

Question:

I think that my wife looks good but she seems to be obsessed about her weight and dieting all the time. She gets very depressed no matter what she seems to wear and when we go out for a meal she is picky about what she eats and then the next day complains about her weight. Nothing I say seems to make her feel any better. Why will she not believe me?

Answer:

Well the short answer here is nothing you can say will make your wife feel any better about her body shape but keep reassuring her that she is still sexy and you find her attractive. As we get older our body shape does change but as long as we are eating good quality food at the right times and also exercising regularly it does help. If she is having a problem in losing weight it might be a simple fact of eating a type of food that she might have become sensitive to in which case she can be easily tested for certain food groups with TFT.
